14:00-17:00 (GMT+4) Round table 2 – How to improve network resilience and what measures to respond to extreme events?
Faced with cyber-attacks, but also with natural risks and extreme climatic events, telecommunications systems and infrastructures are sometimes vulnerable and liable to be damaged or disrupted. Issues of improving the resilience of networks, particularly with regard to climate issues and measures to respond to extreme events (network breakdown, cutting of a submarine cable, theft or damage to equipment, rupture the routing of emergency calls) will be discussed during this round table. Moreover, the deployment of new networks, for example by multiple players working on the same equipment, can raise new questions of resilience. This issue may also be raised by the various stakeholders.
